Announcements
Business Conference called – 7:00pm, July 06
As announced this-past Wednesday, the Personnel Committee and Deacons are calling a church-wide Business Conference Wednesday, July 6 at 7:00pm, for the singular purpose of deciding whether or not to call Maxwell Digman as our next Minister of Music & Worship. He will worship with us on June 26, be available for a meet-and-greet on June 29, and assist in leading music on July 3. His resume will be available for any church member to pick up on at all three of these events. We will again offer the option of voting by proxy. Contact Jacqueline Miller in the Office if you are interested in taking advantage of this option or if you would like a copy of Max’s resume. Join us in praying for this process, praying for Max personally, and praying that God’s will be accomplished in every area of our church’s ministry.
SONQuest mini-V.B.S.
On Wednesday evening, June 29, we will again hold a 90-minute children’s outreach event. At 5:45pm, we will invite all kids (including and especially our friends in the New Life Center) to the Fellowship Hall for supper. At 6:30, our V.B.S. program will begin! Mark your calendars now, and plan to the children in your family, and your neighbors to this exciting monthly event!
Fellowship Meal
Also on June 29, everyone is invited to the Fellowship Hall for a meal at 6:00. If you can eat quickly, float in around 6:30 to dine in a slightly quieter atmosphere!
Lord’s Supper
Our forth quarter observance of the Lord’s Supper will take place on Sunday, July 10, as part of our corporate worship service at 11:00am.
Office Hours
If you haven’t yet met our new Office Manager, Mrs. Jacqueline Miller, we encourage you to introduce yourself. Our new office hours will be Tuesday - Thursday 9:00-3:00pm. As always, the telephone number is (336) 591-7493. Her new e-mail address is office@fbcwalnutcove.com; if she can assist any committee members or ministry heads, she is glad to do so.
Sunday School
--If you are not yet part of a Sunday School class or small group, we encourage everyone to take part in a missional community. We also encourage everyone that is already part of a group to ask: Who’s Your One? Consider inviting your One to take part in a group. Each and every one of us should always strive to aim outward. Who can you encourage to take part? Who can you engage in a spiritual conversation this month? Who can you pray for? Who is near to you and potentially far from God?
--We have classes for children, middle & high school students, and their parents Sundays at 10:00. Any adult is invited to the Fellowship Hall where Pastor Jim and Gerald Spaugh co-teach. Also, the B.F. Johnson Class and the Ruth Class are meeting in their rooms.
