Students @ FBCWC!
The Student Ministry at First Baptist Church includes students in middle school and high school. They meet weekly in Sunday mornings at 10:00 for a more formalized Bible study, and again Wednesday evenings at 7:00 for discussion-based topical insights. The group also has at least one social activity per month, such as dining out, going to concerts, retreats, etc. They also have a service project per quarter. These projects range from helping with the activities of the children, to cleaning the building, to doing simple construction projects in the community. We have a committed group of young people, and our social events double as outreach opportunities. They are learning about missions, evangelism, Bibilical theology, and how to engage the culture. We recognize the need for our students to be able to bear a witness as they walk the halls daily. We also strive to give them new ways to encounter Christ. Like the rest of our church, the youth have a renewed desire to reach their community with the Gospel. They are lead by our Minister of Youth and Children, Luke Long, and are steered by the Youth Council, a committee of parents, youth and other church members.
IMPACT is going Skiing!
Join us Sunday, March 14th, for Night Skiing! Our goal is to leave FBC at 2PM and go to Winterplace for a night of Skiing! Cost is estimated to be about $50 per student, plus some money for dinner. We are planning to be back by 11PM!
We are asking students to wear masks while on our bus and van and will socially distance students by only letting students sit with who they arrive/leave with.
If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact Pastor Luke!
